PARTIU, CHEGO JÁ

Monday, February 29, 2016

So this may or may not be the last email that I will send as a full-time representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Mission hasn't been accomplished yet. My mission is in the changing phase... That's the interesting thing is that I've come to have a testimony of how essential our trials are for our growth. I'm so aware of how much the Lord wants me to grow and change and because of that infinite love He lets me pass through hard things. We can't become stronger if our burden isn't heavy.

But the burden is carried not just by me but by many. My burden is carried by the Savior as he invited us to come unto him and lay our burden on His shoulders. He has already carried them and wants our pain to be alleviated and our worries calmed. I love my Savior and his infinite atonement. I cannot deny that fact that He is the way the life and the light and that no man can approach the throne of the Father without first accepting His atoning power and be humble before Him.

We are loved and provided for! I have learned what charity really is and how to exercise patience and faith. I have learned to be content with the Lords timing and accept His will as my own.
I am converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord needs all of us on His side as we prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord. I love this work and am grateful that it is a call that never ends.

I love you all!

CONVERSION

Monday, February 22, 2016

This week i went on divisions with one of my companions, Sister Clement, who was my companion in the Missionary Training center almost 17 months ago!! I seriously had the best time with her as we laughed and talked and worked and sang in the rain. We talked about our personal conversion experiences from our lives and on the mission and how being "God-sufficient" is more efficient than being self-sufficient. I've learned and have a burning testimony that nothing is more crucial to eternal life than the personal conversion of all of God's children. If we do our part, the Lord adds his power to our efforts. Its like this:

You+ God = The Majority

All weak things can be made strong because God is the strongest and most powerful. If we combine our will with His, we win! We freely receive all the blessings that He has in store for us!

I've learned that true disciples of Christ represent the Lord even and especially when it may not be convenient to do so. The way of the Lord is rarely "convenient" in a world where his pure doctrine is constantly under attack, but to me that gives it even more value.

There's a quote I heard once that says "if you quit now, others will have to painfully learn what you already know." We are to be instruments in the Lords hands, ready to help lift up and build his kingdom on the earth. I am often humbled by my mission experience and grateful to carry the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ over my heart and to invite others to come unto Him daily through faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. God loves us! He wants us to love him and all his children. We show our love and conversion as we serve those around us and try daily to to feel and act with the spirit.

I love this work and know it to be the most important work on the face of the earth. The salvation of souls is not a cheap experience and that is why missionary work is never easy but ALWAYS worth it!

love you all!

Valentines Day!

Monday, February 15, 2016

This week was busy and full of love...in our apartment with the other sisters. Our investigators decided that they didn't want anything to do with the church and so we got kinda bummed, BUT we found a new couple to teach and that was a miracle in itself! We are hoping that this couple will understand the Saviors invite to come unto Him and accept what He has to offer. He offers us love and peace and comfort if we let him give it to us.

A lot of times I explain that Gods blessing and love are like rain--always falling around us and on us. But, if you open an umbrella of pride or hate or spiritual laziness we block the blessings from reaching us and become even more frustrated as we see others receiving blessings as we don't. We have our agency to chose to let God into our lives or not and to accept all the good things he has to offer. I know he loves us. I feel His love and influence daily when I shut my umbrella and look to the Heavens in gratitude for everything he has already given me.

Have an awesome week!!!!!
